Memphis

While I have been lucky enough to travel all over the world for the Commercial Appeal, what I love most is community changing journalism. 

Its my job to make our readers care about the stories of the people in our community.

Memphis has much so much history and many problems. The high poverty rates and the high crime rates and the many incredible people who roll up their sleeves and face those challenges, everyday, are often my subjects. This town is so rich in faith, hope and charity; and that is an amazing backdrop to tell stories against. 

Memphis has so much soul.
